Speyside Organics is located on an Organic upland tenanted farm called Knockanrioch in the hills of Moray, within 2 miles of the River Spey in the Highlands of Scotland. We are 20 miles (by road) from Elgin and 16 from Grantown-on-Spey. The farm ranges from 700ft(200m) to 1200ft(350m) above sea level, a large proportion of which is heather covered hill, which provides grazing for our animals.
Our main products are Organic Beef and Organic Lamb with some other organic meats available occasionally.
The only feed we buy in is seaweed meal as a mineral supplement. This is a natural (and Organic) product.
Our Customers can be assured that all of our cattle and sheep are born, reared and finished on our farm and all of our meat is therefore fully traceable from field to plate, so important in these days of food scares.
Here at Speyside Organics it is our objective to supply high quality, farm fresh Organic Meats at realistic prices, direct to our customers, through online and telephone ordering, and from our stall at Farmers Markets in Aberdeen and Inverness.
Aberdeen:
September 27th and October 25th.
Inverness:
September 6th and October 4th.
We will also be at "Living Food at Cawdor Castle" on September 27th
We were visited on 16th June by a party of Italian holidaymakers, all Slow Food members. They sampled our meats and some Cairngorm Beers at lunch after a visit to the Speyside Smokehouse in the morning and before visiting the Glenfarclas Distillery.
If you are ordering meat to be collected at a farmers market, it would help us if you placed your order at least 7 days before the Aberdeen Market date.
